Anxiety and stress disorders affect up to 18.1% of adults between the ages of 18 and 54 in the USA according to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). A study commissioned by the ADAA known as the Economic Burden of Anxiety Disorders revealed that anxiety disorders cost the USA in excess of $42 billion a year.
